Over the weekend I converted over a few Standard child themes over to Lean child themes. I am planning on converting a few more of the other child themes that I have and creating a few new ones as well.
The first one that I created was Crimson. It was an easy choice because it has been the most popular child theme for Standard. It has a great layout and is definitely a great starting point if you are looking for creating a Michael Hyatt inspired blog.
The other one that I created was Newsfeed. This was a request from Aaron Conrad the other day when I shared the child theme kit. It was one of the child theme’s from Standard 2 that was designed by Jared and I converted over to a Standard 3 child theme.
The other one is Lean Theme. This is where you are going to find the 2 new child themes and will see the others when I create them.
I am also adding Grunt and Bower to the new child themes as well. If you are familiar with the command line then all you need to do is navigate to the theme folder, run
npm install then
grunt. This will start the
watch task and will automatically compile your
.less files into the child theme’s style.css file.
What one would you like to see me create next?
